ABOUT KAYLA

Kayla is a Chicago-based artist and the creator of Shake It Away: The Ann Miller Story and Call Me Elizabeth, a one-woman show about the life of Elizabeth Taylor.

A member of Actors’ Equity Association, Kayla’s performance credits include productions at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Drury Lane Theatre, Porchlight Music Theatre, Mercury Theater Chicago, Music Theater Works, Fireside Theatre, Capital City Theatre, BrightSide Theatre, Citadel Theatre, Sierra Madre Playhouse, Bigfork Summer Playhouse, The Huron Playhouse, The Youngstown Playhouse, and City Lit Theater (Winnie in Samuel Beckett’s Happy Days.)

Kayla holds a BA from Youngstown State University in Professional Writing & Editing and a MS from Northwestern University in Leadership for Creative Enterprises. She proudly serves as a founding member of the Artistic Council of the Sarah Siddons Society, which acts as conduit between the Sarah Siddons Society Board of Governors, recent Sarah Siddons Society scholarship recipients, and professional members of the Chicago-area theatre community to offer mentoring, networking and career guidance opportunities.
